    Would you happen to know how the Monarch Waystation sign was painted – what types of paints were used? I’m planning to paint ours and thought maybe permanent color markers would work, especially if I spray a sealing clear-coat over it.
    If you know how it was done, I’d appreciate any advice. I’m also wondering how it’s holding up after a couple of years.

    1. Nancy, sorry to be so late in getting back to you. A friend painted the sign for me in 2011. I’m not positive what she used but I think it was nail polish. It gradually faded and has recently been repainted with art craft paint in little round bottles (availalble at Hobby Lobby or Michaels. It has also been clear coated by 1K HS Clear Gloss from an automotive supply store. Glad you have a monarch way station and are displaying a sign.
