Here are some resources that may be helpful for folks who are interested landscaping with native plants:

  • Our Backyard Story. This is a photography book, which can be viewed online, that tells the story of our Kentucky native plant backyard from its beginning through it's first year.

  • Wild Ones is a national organization that advocates landscaping with native plants. The Lexington chapter activities include garden tours, field trips, speakers, workshops, and plant swaps. Visitors are always welcome.

  • The Lexington, Kentucky Arboretum is one of my favorite places to visit and photograph.  I especially appreciate the collection of Kentucky native trees, shrubs, grasses, and flowers.
  •

  • Monarch book. If you've read many of my blog posts this year, you know I'm fascinated by butterflies. I created a picture book to share this interest with children.  You can preview it on Blurb, and buy a copy if you want.
